Quite some time ago Eclipsing Binaries showed some conversions with the matchbox stalwart and had several people asking about them and how to do them, very nice they were to and with the release of my future British I thought how nice they would in my game settings.
Well after an exchange or two and several bits of design passed between the two we have come up with some concept work ideas. Eclipsing Binaries with his great 2d design work and myself with putting it into 3d. Plenty of work to do still.

Next question does the project have the legs to produce them or do we keep it to ourselves.

So here are the designs

Looking good Keith. It's got the modular look that we discussed.

And some more of the 2D designs, including the idea for the modular pieces and other vehicles based on these modular parts….

Wow, Very nice! I could use the eight wheeled one for sure, would be really nice if it was a flat bed for a heavy hualer, but I would use them all!

VERY nice. I especially appreciate the 8x8 chassis, and the articulated "semi truck" chassis both of which IMHO would be an excellent basis for a medium and a heavy AFV variant ala these unusual beasties:

Bleeden ell' what is that final one!

Here is the Stalwart I just stripped this one by Matchbox already has an armoured cab with no side doors so I assume the driver / co driver enters via the roof hatches. I am just waiting to receive two different type of gun turrets to complete a couple more Matchbox Commando conversions and I will paint them all at the same time.

The articulated stuff is hilarious – in a good way!

I still love the idea of the Stalwart 'project' though. Make 'em all, I say….

Nice. That's looking a lot sleeker. I can see some non-military uses for some of these designs as well.
