Hi all, I know Eureka have some figures for the Revolutionary Wars, as do Trent. But what else is out there?

Battle Honours 15mm. These are Anthony Barton sculpts and are still good.

See the Wargamorium Blog for some pictures. I am also working on Austrians and using AWI British.

The French and British are in their French Revolution range, the other nations are to be found in with their Napoleonic range. They are not to everyone's taste but I think they include some very nice figures.

Magister Militum/Chariot is also worth checking out.

In the smaller scales, Adler has a fantastic French line, and Leon is slowly working on adding early Austrians.

I think Blue Moon from Old Glory are the best in 15mm, although they are a good bit bigger than other 15mm more like 18mm.
Here is a link to Old Glory AWI.

Sentepid,

You didn't specify a size – 28mm, 20mm, 18mm, 15mm, or 6mm.

My main interest is 28mm, but the 15mm knowledge is interesting too.

Here is a mix of 15/18mm – mostly Lancashire, with some Black Hat figs thrown in for good measure :

Lancashire FRW French in greatcoats (used here as 1813 Artilerie de Marine). Chef du Bataillon is from Black Hat :

Lancashire FRW French infantry – nice animation on this lot

Lancashire early french in Tarleton. Painted here as white coats, but suitable for all sorts of things :

Warrior miniatures (true 15), French in Bicornes. Not strictly FRW I suppose, but great for early campaigns anyway. Very well priced for this scale.

Lancashire Prussians for the FRW period. Im using 7YW Prussians for the battalion guns and mounted officers here, seems fine to me for this period, up to Jena Auerstadt :

I have a tonne of FRW Austrians that Im yet to paint, they all look pretty decent so far. (esp the cavalry)

Hope that helps.

Sentepid,

If 28mm is your main interest then I would highly recommend two manufacturers – Eureka and Elite Miniatures. I have both and although you cannot mix the figures within each unit separately they look just fine. You can't go wrong with either one. The Elite Minis are from his Collector's Series and those are 30mm in size. They mainly cover Napoleon's campaigns in Italy so you'll have Austrians and French to chose from. Eureka covers a wide range with Russians and Tyrolean Militia also available. Trent Miniatures also can be used but I find them to be a bit bulkier then the others however, if you don't mix them in the same unit all 3 manufacturers just might work.

Price wise I've found Elite to be the best buy however Eureka cannot be left out of the picture. Their figures are so good that they are well worth the cost.

That's my 2 cents.
