These are 15mm Splintered Light Miniatures Scots/Irish light chariots adapted for my Naked Gallic army. I highly recommend them.

The "kit bashing" here was filing off the pants lines on the shirtless drivers and painting them au naturel. With the lower half of the driver obscured by the chariot, I think I just pulled it off.

My blog with this project and others is over here: link

Very nice work.

That camera angle almost makes them look like they have wooly Lammas pulling them…

Very nice!

Yes, woolly horses but the brush work is great. Colourful and energetic.

I believe that, for at least the cavalry, you can specify alternative horses (or ponies?) when ordering from Splintered Light. I'm not sure about those for the chariots, though.

Thanks for the feedback, fellows! I love the look of these stout, woolly horses and attribute it to their winter coat or breed.

If hairy horses put you off, look at the Old Glory Gallic chariots. I painted these 3-4 years ago.

Worra lorra chariots! And nicely painted, too.

Cheers Simon
