Mild conversion of a Gundham Zanzibar cruiser to a 15mm assault lander for Hammers Slammers and Tomorrow's War.

Wow, that's awesome!

Where did you get it?

AVAMANGO21 Jun 2013 6:21 p.m. PST

Thats looks great i also have a toy of the Zanzibar cruiser 'Lili Marleen' i bought it years ago for a dropship to be used in Battletech. The one i have is about 11" long by 8" wide made of hard plastic, all the front gun turrets rotate and it has a little compartment to hold a couple of 1/200th Gundam mecha, these days E-Bay is probably a good place to start looking for old Gundam ships and small scale mecha.

I found the one i have on E-Bay, but the price has gone up considerably since i bought mine. auction

And the tracks under the lander are just there to keep the chin turret guns from bending. I need to work on some sort of temporary landing gear rig.

And thanks for all the kind words.

Yep that works Harold and that is a fantastic model :)

AVAMANGO25 Jun 2013 1:40 a.m. PST

Landing gears have you thought about using Lego airplane wheels, just file down the discs on the plates and place them in any configuration you like and glue them to the under carriage. :)

Thats a great idea…

Patrick Sexton Supporting Member of TMP25 Jun 2013 6:48 a.m. PST

That is a great idea.

are they available as a option kit or as spare parts sold on E-Bay?

I think you can find places online that sell them… but now that I think about it, I have a Lego store nearby, I wonder if they'd have them in stock.

Found this too:

Thanks guys.

Warning, those are slow boats and easily picked off by GM snipers.

Of course in Gundam almost any kind of ship is picked off by mobile suits with beam weapons. Now that you're using a Zanzibar at a smaller scale might need escorts for it as it might be even more vulnerable to a beam weapon armed unit.
