Am working on the demo board for Scavenge Skirmish Survive and thought I'd share a few pics.

I've completed 3 tiles of approx 1 ft sq and plan up to 12 for a board that could be from 2ft x 2ft to 2ft x 6ft (essentially a length of road).

The buildings are all accessible from the rear.

There are more pics and other content (including the paint scheme for the buildings) at:

while our store has the miniatures (plus a bunch of other stuff) and a free download of a BETA of the rules :-)

Nice stuff Steve.
I wish you the very best of luck, keep us posted.

Love, just love it, and the last pic is really atmospheric! I have downloaded your rules but as yet haven't had a chance to read them, I'll give any feed back if I do (or even get to play them!)

Awesome, where's your demo likely to be held? Are all the boards the same 2' square with the one building in the middle? Just I've made some similar but had about 2 that were quite different (one was an open yard, the other a sort of refinery) great stuff…

Each tile is about 1' square.

I agree. Nice looking stuff. Richard

Many thanks for the encouragement and interest. :-)

Yep, the tiles are each approx 1ft sq (actually 30 cm). Some have a single building in a corner, others have a larger building across the whole width and some won't have any buildings at all,

The following wip image might be helpful as it shows three tiles with the central larger building filling the width of its own.

In front of the buildings is half of the main road, the other half being provided by the tiles that will be opposite.

When viewing down the centre of the road, it won't be apparent that the rears of the buildings are cutaways.

Full width buildings will include a minimart, a couple of other stores and some apartments. Tiles without buildings will include a children's playground, a memorial garden and a car park.

As for where the demo will be played, I'm in the UK so it will be domestic shows and perhaps club visits. No public venues fixed as yet but organising my calendar for later in the year is high up on the 'to do' list. ;-)

Cheers

Steve

what scale are the minis and buildings?

Ark3nubis22 Jun 2013 3:58 p.m. PST

28mm I believe…

Yep, the one true scale …. 28mm

The restricted color scheme fits the theme well, methinks. I read through the rules and really look forward to the finished version.

Looks like Bosnia back in the day.

Thanks guys – though I suspect the reminder of Bosnia wasn't a good one.

The rules should get a tweak sometime this week. When the terrain is finished I hope to be able to put up a video of the mechanics and there will be AARs. :-)

The last picture is really striking, well done
