Wow! A real labour of love there and special kudos for not using GW figures.

Fantastic stuff.

In-cre-dible! A very inspiring set up packed with troops within and without. Sorry to hear about the shabby deal with that…person, who was supposed to make your terrain, but you ended up doing a terrific job. You're a lucky guy to have the space for all that!

Thank you to everyone. And My wife gave me the garage..and took over the house when she moved in. I loose weight in the summer time gaming. I got her a corvette, and now she is trying to take over the garage…not!!

That is a mind-boggling effort. I read about your terrible dealings with the guy who ripped you off and had a lot of sympathy. But your own work is stunning. My hat is off to you mate.

Amazing!

You, sir, are a glorious mad man.

Pelennor Fields is a favorite of mine, but I never went to such lengths. link

Just my opinion: but your switch to 28mm was definitely a good move….

Yeah, you definitely need to bring that setup to MillenniumCon in November!

I am not a fantasy gamer, but that is my favorite battle scene from LOTR books and you did a fantastic job with it! Great looking project, I can't imagine the man hours that it must have taken.

Great job. How are your figures based (size of bases)?

I have been acquiring 28mm castles like a madman, as much because I am afraid to try my hand at terrain building, as much fun as it would be to actually create something like what you have done.

darclegion19 Jun 2013 9:40 a.m. PST

Thanks to all again!! Greatly appreciate all the comments.
The figures are based on the a mix of wooden 20mm x 20mm bases and plastic bases. The cav are on 20mm x 40mm bases.

I had alot of fun making it, even it I was mad….but I guess that is what made me work harder in the end. But I was eventually happy with the results. I channeled my anger into every brick…haha.

Amazing work. Labour of love and all that.

Simply Wow.

Tom I take my hat off to you. Your work is inspirational.

I am only up to the breaking of the fellowship in my LOTR campaign and am currently involved in skirmishes in the Westfold of Rohan.

I will need a Minas Tirith before my games are done and I will think of your excellent job when I do.

Much Kudos.

Hope the toss pot who ripped you of reads this thread.

Hi Tom

The LOTR stuff looks great…tried to add a comment on your blog but just couldn't fathom what it was asking me to do…mind you it is late and few glasses of wine may have been consumed

cheers

Yea, I am confused myself with the google stuff…I tried to keep it simple. Thanks for looking.
I will update the battle of Pelennor Fields as it goes. I will make a part two. I am excited about playing another LOTR games. Makes me play faster to get to the next game. I am doing a LOTR campaign.
