Ready to buy, these ready to sell?

Sargonarhes17 Jun 2013 2:31 p.m. PST

I know what this mech reminds me of now. A Russian Savage Arm Slave from Full Metal Panic.

Very nice paintup! Very impressed by those skills as usual.

I see this in the mech,

Still great work either way!

Ready to buy, these ready to sell?

Good question, that.

daddyslittlemen17 Jun 2013 4:57 p.m. PST

It looks like the Type 303 from Ghost in the Shell (without the little Waldo arms), but I think it is way to big.

The pics I've seen of it with a 28mm figure look about right though. As a 15mm gamer I think I'll be passing on this one.

khurasanminiatures17 Jun 2013 5:09 p.m. PST

It's no different in size from other 15mm medium mechs, about 60mm tall. Maybe it looks bigger because it is holding the plasma rifle up.

Reminds me of a Battletech Clan Elemental.

Tgunner17 Jun 2013 6:21 p.m. PST

What faction is it for? Federals?

I had a bit of a flash from Dragonstar and Living Steel, but there's something else gnawing at my memory…

I'm also reminded of a Clan Elemental. Are the arms & legs poseable?

khurasanminiatures17 Jun 2013 9:02 p.m. PST

Tgunner, it's the heavy combat vehicle of the SPAR (Federal Navy Special Forces). This is why it has arms with mechanical hands rather than guns sprouting out of its shoulders.

Kidbananas, there are two different sets of legs -- they are one piece pewter parts but you can swivel the hips on them. (Legs are pewter so it can stand free, also for strength). There are two sets of arms (left fist, right fist, right arm with plasma rifle, left arm supporting plasma rifle). So you can have it shooting, or like in the pose dwartist has above, or two fisted and about to beat the crap out of something.

I'll repeat the question, yer honor: Are they for sale yet?

In the Khurusan thread on the same subject they said it would be released "very soon."

Great work!

billthecat18 Jun 2013 8:57 a.m. PST

Great for 28mm…. !

palaeoemrus24 Jun 2013 8:56 p.m. PST

So how many of these does it take to beat one of those Garn Robo-T-rex things with the not necessarily butt-guns?

palaeoemrus24 Jun 2013 8:59 p.m. PST

Seems like it could make a good full size (and perhaps older) mech for the Earthdoom line, or a decent large powered armor for 28mm guys. The kind were the pilot scrunches inert in a fluid gel filled ball in the torso and runs the suit directly with his neuro-connectors.
