Gentlemen,

Am seriously considering starting a Carlist Wars project in 15mm using Neil Thomas' rules.
Am I limited to Warmodelling Miniatures for 15mm? If so, what is the general opinion of the figs?
All suggestions (well, nearly all…) gratefully received.
Thanks in advance.

Good choice on the Neil Thomas rules, i really like them. Warmodelling is the only dedicated range but you can probably find some other suitable figures from Napoleonic ranges. I have some of the Warmodelling Peninsular figures, they are solid sculpts and mix well with the Grenadier Production Liberators! range if that is any help.

The only trouble with the Warmodelling range is some of the packs are single pose but they are very nice figures. Like PAR says you will probably be able to conscript some Nap figures and you may find suitable British and French Foreign Legion in other mid-19th ranges – I think QRF do some of the latter.

Warmodelling is planning to expand the Carlist war range. If you are looking for scenarios and other useful info this booklet is a must for anyone wanting to game the conflict: link

All,
Thanks very much for your comments and suggestions.
I'm not worried about single poses (shows my age…!)and good news about the plans to extend the Warmodelling range.
Balagan is a mine of information, albeit from about ten years ago. His stuff is really good.
Nuno, I will be ordering your book!
