Thank you for all the comments. Bit of a nostalgia project this in a way – I would not normally want such rigid poses but it's all part of the charm. I'm trying to get a real old fashioned feel, slightly shiny varnish, clean lines for the painting, nice bit of black undercoat doing it's job etc. I'm doing some British next …. Highland battalion underway already! I plan to keep this style throughout and use only Essex figures. Thanks again for the comments,
