Having recently experimented with video editing software, I was determined to keep ploughing a way at making AARs a bit different.

So I had a bash at NUTS here: link

It's the first in a series of 3 vids where my squad goes sniper hunting.

Will get the rest posted up tomorrow and would love to know what you think.

I like it! It gives a feel for the game without giving a detailed explanation of the rules.

Looking forward to the next two.

@WargamingAddict thank you for your brilliantly informative and extremely entertaining posts on Nuts recently. I've watched them all and you've inspired my group to give the system a try…I've been fooling around with the rules myself and they really give a highly enjoyable solo game…

While the chain reaction system takes a little getting used to at first I really like how firefights are inclined to explode into a chaotic life of their own. Don't think I've ever played a game that rightfully penalizes a badly chosen position when firing on an enemy that out numbers or out guns you…you can be instantly torn apart…

Looks like a lot of work so thanks again for the trouble in putting it all together and looking forward to the next instalment…

First of all – thank you all for the kind words. The videos seem to have been well received across the board.

That gives me a lot of encouragement to keep pushing on with them.

The second video in the series is up here: link

Nice use of the "Saving Private Ryan" clip.

Justin,

Excellent work, thanks for the all the effort you put into it.

The videos provide an excellent insight into the game without getting bogged down in the details. Completing the Campaign portion of the rules shows an important aspect to the rule system.

You might want to add a vehicle or two to your next effort.

Excellent and many thanks. Excellent walk through answers many questions.

Just watched the final two parts and again I have to say they were both excellent…. although I am getting a little embarrassed on how much of the basic reaction rules I've misinterpreted especially with regards to the insight tests; so just a question Justin, I think you mentioned that the insight test rule being used is from Chain Reaction 3 and not actually Nuts (which I've just read) so in the AAR after the in-sight check tests are done each side is then required to roll a reaction test to see if or how he responds. Is that right? If so I was playing this all wrong.

I've never played a campaign before but your roster piece at the end of part 3 makes me want to try it out. I certainly hope you put some more up, both entertaining and enlightening. Well done…and many thanks again.

And yes I'd second the motion to see some vehicle action too if possible…

Thanks everyone for your comments. Very much appreciated.

@Grey Panda – Yes that's right. The first In Sight check shows your reaction speed, then you roll for your reaction to seeing the enemy. So you might act first, but duck for cover.

It gives the game the feel that you are controlling men – and not robots.
