In the early '70's when I was working full time as a management consultant – away Sunday night, back Friday evening – I had a friend do 38 of these: 4 grenadiers in company; 6 voltigeurs; and 7 companies of 4 each. He used the Bucquoy cards of the 33rd – a marevlous set of data.

Bucquoy illustrates a drummer of grenadiers with all red plume and cords. His purple lapels, collar, cuffs, flaps, and maybe the turnbacks are edged aurora (yellowish-orange)!

The tall plumes shown here for all figures is new to me, and I would LOVE to get data to support this. Perhaps the painter used the officer plume of the 22nd (probably unique to officers of this regiment) as inspiration, his own "imaginations" addition.

The Bucquoy cards, if I remember correctly, showed the voltigeurs with tall yellow plume, yellow cords, and all-yellow epaulettes as shown here.

This is a great looking unit that allows us to see the potential of using Victrix and Warlords plastics together!

I was wondering about the plumes as well. The figures look great and I like the plumes. If they're correct, there just maybe such a unit in my army in the future.

My sources tell me that the 3rd line regt had blue plumes for the fusiliers. That's the only regiment I ever heard of with plumes on the fusiliers. I'd love to see the source on these 33rd regiment fusiliers wearing plumes.
