Hi,

Just wondered about the historical gaming scene in Montreal? Groups? Clubs? Stores? Anything?

Firemonkeyboy:
The scene in Montreal is not what it used to be. There are plenty of players around but they are not organized into groups, clubs or even loose associations. Small clutches of players get together for specific periods. There is a clutch which plays Ancients, another clutch which plays 7YW and Napoleonics, a group which plays FOW, a group which plays WWII micro-armour and modern micro-armour and a group that alas too infrequently plays 15mm WWII skirmish games. If you want more specific information tell me and I can e-mail details to you.

I just checked the member locator and could not find you. Do you come from the TMP Membership black-hole that is Ontario? It registers zero members for some strange reason. Are you a local Montrealer?

Currently in Toronto, but there's a growing liklihood I'll be in Montreal fairly soon. Just curious about what kind of gaming was available. In terms of historicals, I've been doing Impetus in 15mm, SYW (Maurice) in 6mm, and a bunch of 15mm skirmish stuff, mainly Bolt Action and Muskets and Tomahawks. I'll play GW and Warmahordes in a pinch.

The much reduced Montreal Wargames group have started up again, having games in the sports Room of my apartment block in Pointe-Claire.
We have had 2 games so far with 6 players so if you are still looking drop me a line.
Cheers,
Graham W

We have been doing ACW Brother against Brother, PulP Alley, Old West and as soon as I have my arena finished there will be gladiator blood in the sand.
We also have 15mm Naps and in the not too distant future, 15mm ACW F&F.
Cheers,

Graham W
