I have relatives visiting Munich (actually staying in Aubing)this summer and was wondering if anyone knew a source (retail store) for DaVinci brushes and Pelican Plaka paints? Thanks in advance, Carl (AKA "Karl") |

Rudi, do they sell paint and brushes? I couldn't find them on the page? Unfortunately, I'm not going this time, my sister and neice are so I'm asking them to do some shopping for me. I was at the Hofbraeuhaus back in the 80's
no place like it! |

The kabinett is a classic tinsoldiers store in the tradition of 1880! One of the last of its kind. The second link shows the shops for colours. You might place a online order of all your stuff you need to the adress of your relatives in europe and then let them bring it over. This is the best practice as it can be very tough for amateurs to buy hobby stuff. :)))) Greetings |

Well, six or seven years ago one could buy Da Vinci brushes in Karstadt (a nation wide department store chain). Actually, as recently as four years ago this was true (last time I was in one and bought brushes). I'll be there next week and it's on my list of things to check out an buy (they were the cheapest source I'd ever found for super high quality red sable brushes). |

Just realized, Karstadt sold Kolinsky brushes, not Da Vinci. Anyway, the Kolinsky brushes are better than Da Vinci. They're the best, hold a point like no other brushes I've had. |

On further reflection it was actually one specific Karstadt in downtown Hamburg. They had a pretty nice selection of fine arts stuff on the second level I think. Downstairs in their basement they had a hobby area that sold all manner of model trains, model kits, etc. I know that section was not in every one of their stores. |

Uhm
Chriskrum, if you reflect on anything in Muich AND/OR Da Vinci brushes, get back to me. BTW, Da Vinci ARE made from Kolinsky sable (as are Windsor & Newton, Rosemary & Co. and all other fine brushes
). |

To open this again
we have NO wargame store in Munich. The two sites which are most likly are two game stores- Games In and Funtainment. First is more for RPG, but with GW and Armypainter stuff, last is more traditional games with GW stuff and some tables to play. Colors and brushes could be bought at several artist stores, but the two game stores have the GW and Valleho paints in stock. |
