This is a killer.

Big cannon under the body is obvious GITS influence.
Other than that, it has a gatling gun under the front part, two hardpoints under and one on the edge of each wing, and one weapon pod just under the tail section.

To people who's wondering why there's no tail rotor, it's a NOTAR type helicopter

Because some people are commenting about it, the cockpit is in opened position. It's fully protected when closed.

I am thinking this might belong more on the sci fi forum than the modern one. =)

Isn't this the one that Chinese media mistakenly reported as a real Japanese prototype?

James Wright28 May 2013 8:14 a.m. PST

I think so, Gypsy. Funny enough, the Chinese media also quoted, at least on one occasion, an Onion article about US Congressmen demanding hot tubs in their congressional offices to show American decadence.

Sadly, while satire, it is not far from the realm of believable.

On the subject above, I would love a 28mm model of that thing. =)

In other news, CCTV reported that the new Yukikaze fighter was seen making its maiden flight last week. I do say those Japanese can design some cool looking hardware.

Not exactly the same but passable, 1/72 but might pass for 15mm, will be using it as a future 15mm pacfed dropship
