NashCon 2013 photos, Photos !, 300 + PHOTOS !!!!

Each year at Nashcon, fellow attorney and friend David Raybin ( and his son, attorney Ben Raybin) ask me to bring my camera and fire off photos of Nashcon. This year in no exception. In addition I am tasked with helping to load the vehicles and toss a few dice here and there in a game I am playing off to the side.

As most of you know Bob Duncan and David, and his son Ben, put on the showstopper Alamo game, and here are the three boys after the successful game, happy that the Alamo held out more than 10 turns albeit that the famous fort fell due to overwhelming numbers.

The games were just outstanding. Bob Moon put on the three games ! Buck Surdu, Chris Palmer and Greg Priebe, members of the Harford Area Weekly Kriegspielers (HAWKs), ran a fantastic Victorian era Sci-Fi extravaganza using 25mm figures which was all Red Mars and John Carter and his boys. Gavin Gossett returned in force with an outstanding game with magical Britain ablaze with war and death. On Sunday Ben and David Raybin ran their Franco-Prussian game with over a thousand figures. The DBA and Flames of War folks were there in force along with computer fans and WarHammer devotees. There were games for everyone.

None of this would have been possible except for the darn hard work of the organizers who give of their valuable time and effort to put this con on for us. These things don't just pop up out of the ground. Thanks Scotty and Bryant.

And now the Photos. The photos are in something of the order in which things happened on Saturday and Sunday ( I was unable to make the Friday fun) from loading the cars and delivering the troops for the games. I would play in a game here and there and then run around and shoot some photos and then run back to the game. You can go to this link and see the playlist of games to see what is what.

This year the photos number several hundred. I just don't have time to pare the photos down today. I figured it would be best to upload them all ( since a few folks are hollering for photos before I can get the boxes unloaded ! ) and you can zip through them in regular photobucket mode…and so here they are

OR you can enable the SLIDE SHOW mode which makes for a nicer presentation.

It was great fun there, just sad that our Zulu's almost got all the British at Roarkes Drift. With all the pictures, it's hard to realize that you missed the Friday games, also some great terrain and games.

Lots of cool photos. The Texans and the Knight looked especially good.

Oops, my mistake, there are pictures from friday in the mix. Well done! I guessed I missed seeing you moving about with your camera.

I had a great time as always. Thank you to the staff of Nashcon for putting another wonderful show.

Very cool.
I like the board / map of Britain, just a shame Stonehenge is in the wrong place.
Though with a model THAT big of it, parts of it are quite close to where it should be!

:D

The people for the most part in the pictures, properly look like they are having fun.
That is very good to see.

Michael.

There was fun darn near every moment which is the point of it all. Did not see anybody arguing over the color of the buttons on a 6 mm figure. Nashcon is extraordinary. Join us next year.
