Greetings,

I've been lurking here for a while, but lately I have begun to emerge from the shadows a bit. I have been modeling WWWII virtually life-long and wargaming since I was in High School. In the last few years I've allowed the two hobbies to meet: I've begun wargaming WWII. Since I was principally interested in ships and aircraft it's perhaps not a surprise that I've concentrated on carrier warfare in general and the Pacific Theatre in particular. I write about my modeling on my blog:

The 1/2400 tag eliminates all the touchy-feely bits from my other interests leaving you with the grittiness of really big things that go boom.

If you want to see how I achieve my particular dark and disastrous results, you can try this tag:

I've also done just a little scratchbuilding and there are plenty of reviews of extant 1/2400 models. I hope there's something there worth reading.

Sincerely,
David

P.S., I've attached a few pictures as examples of what I do. There are plenty more on the blog and on my google page:

Thank you. I have much to learn yet, but I feel like I'm slowly getting to the point where I can do this. And maybe have something worth saying to other people about it. Maybe. Thank you very much.
