If you could commission any models/miniatures/or series of miniatures, what would it/they be? By the way, money is no object in this exercise. |
Mainly28s | 14 May 2013 3:24 p.m. PST |
Proper Luftwaffe Field Division troops wearing a mixture of Zeltbahn and long camo smocks suitable for the Italian theatre, consisting of figures with separate heads and a mix sufficient to allow the creation of properly equipped squads. There also have to be support troops (MMGs and mortars), and I'd want artillery and vehicle crews (guns and vehicles can be sourced from other companies). All of these will be in 28mm, and, if I get my pick of sculptors, I'd want Paul Hicks to do them to fit in with his original Bolt Action WW2 figures. If the streak continues, I'd add as many other troops suitable for Italy as I can, starting with Brits/Colonials, then Italians, then Yanks, French/Colonials and finally Partisans. |

Early war Waffen SS in 15mm (and maybe 28mm, since cost is no object). Helmet covers, camo smocks, jack boots, and all the weird automatic weapons they carried, like MP35 SMGs, ZB26 LMGs, and VZ37 MMGs. A line of 28mm British Napoleonics for the Peninsula, by either the Perrys of Paul Hicks. French legere in campaign gear by the same. |

Well let me pull out a wish list for a moment here. 15mm Helghast troops from Killzone Protoss from Starcraft Maximilian robot from the Black Hole. |
Flashman14 | 14 May 2013 3:38 p.m. PST |
Perry has now done a big chunk of what I'd want (1812 Russia retreat) though I haven't seen the Cossacks or what I'm hoping to see: murderous peasants with farm implements. There are also so many plates with the accompanying women and children who suffered along with their husbands and fathers. Just one pack for any number of scenarios. Otherwise, I'd like to see more dismounted cavalry characters for other theatres though I'm thinking Peninsula here. I know there are dragoons but dismounted chasseurs or hussars would be fun. Officers, guys firing carbines, etc. Also for the Peninsula, figures in a mix of French amd British kit and uniform. These formed the deserter bands that roamed about with the guerrillas. More variety in nco's across all Napoleonic armies. Wouldn't it be fun to skirmish an Austrian or Prussian patrol foraging in French territory? The Peninsula has captured everyone's imagination almost exclusively thanks to Sharpe. |

I'd find all old molds for Industrial Gothic, including the unreleased figures, and put them back in production
OR I'd find and put out the Chronopia Empires stuff
or commission figs for it (in 6mm this time) if there aren't any to be had. OR I'd fund a large range of centipede warriors/characters for both scifi and fantasy in 6mm, 15mm and 28mm. |
Mako11 | 14 May 2013 3:57 p.m. PST |
Ooooo, I like the Rollerball idea, and would go in for some of those. My selection is the entire cast from UFO, including many of the bit players (civvies), and numerous aliens too, to go with all of the SHADO personnel. I'd like them in 18mm, 28mm, and 1/48th scale (the latter to go with the diecast SHADO Mobiles). Of course, we'll be needing 6" – 8" diameter UFOs to go with the latter vehicles, and some Moonhoppers to match them also. |

I have also pined for the aborted Chronopia micro-scale stuff too. But I'd as soon split the difference with Chronopia in 15mm: plenty small to fit in some really big monsters and war machines. Or 15mm WHFB slann
or 40K slann in ANY scale. |

Mayberry characters in 28mm. Runners up
28mm Masons & Carpenters for ancients would also be nice. 28mm riders legs for conversion

Tough one, either the main characters and soldiers from "Kalvan of Otherwhen". Or figures for David Drakes "General series. Nothing like using dogs as mounts instead of horses. Who wouldn't want a unit mounted on Border Collies or Rhodesian Ridgebacks. |

Various aliens from John Ringo's Gust Front (etc), especially the centaroid invaders whose name escapes me right now. And since money's no object, lets say 28mm, 15mm, and 6mm for close in tactical, platoon level, and company/battalion level fights, respectively. Rob |

Sculptor: Martin Goddard (Peter Pig); Range: PBI Russians – some new figures (a 'Stalingrad' range) up to the style and standard of the newer Germans (with variable uniforms
some with puttees and short boots, some with greatcoats
with SVTs, grenades, molotovs etc. plus maybe something quirky, say, an ampoule launcher..)
I will buy them

All the tanks from all the movies that all the "Wrong Tank Syndrome" haters love to hate. I would market them in 15mm and in 20mm and call them all "Tigers". Why? Just to watch them howl! What fun. Since money is no object (I assume this is a government stimulus grant?), and I don't have to pay for them

A line of 6mm WWII figures with a wider range of poses than now available. Some of the 15mm lines would be good as a guide. They would be sold in unit packaging, similar to Flames of War. |

As far as big projects go, I'd like to see Byzantines for the 1444 campaign in the Balkans. Aside from that, I'd like to see more characters for my periods. For example, a set of Foreign Legion characters with: Dashing French Officer Sadistic Legion Sergeant Weasely Legion Corporal Russian Giant Disgraced Guardsman Former Cowboy Clean-cut, brave Englishman Maybe even a Vivandiere As long as I'm wishing, some Viking female warriors in historical costume, as opposed to some of the scantily clad Viking warrior babes currently available. I could go for the Lord Kalvan of Otherwhen figures, too. Grelber |

Firstly I would like Peter Pig to make a group of Ninjas for their Samurai line !!! (facepalm) and also samurai dressed in civilian clothing. I would also like to see a full greek mythological series done in 15/18mm, heroes, beasts, and support troops
. oh the fun you could have! a cool funky line done in 15/18mm for the vietnam War very much like baker Co does in 28mm, exsisting ranges don't really cut it. |
Cavcmdr | 15 May 2013 2:54 a.m. PST |
I really would like 15mm 18th century artillerymen running away or evading as they call it. The figures could be a mix of coats, or without, and the same for hats. It might be nice if one was stupidly still carrying a rammer but I want figures "in motion!" If they appear in Napoleonic ranges please let me know and I will search them out. Too many wargamers glue all their guns and crews to the bases. I like to see what is happening and I loathe scraps of paper and multi-coloured counters on the table. Have fun |

28mm Fallout Universe plastic multipart sprues. Including Brotherhood of Steel Raiders Wastelanders Vegas Dilettantes Robots (Oh, so many robots) Radioactive critters Super Mutants (with nightkin upgrades) NCR Rangers and Troopers Oh, it's pretty well endless
and what with all the unobjectified cash sloshing around, we could probably get Bethesda to release their own 3d models to base it all on. |

All the tanks from all the movies that all the "Wrong Tank Syndrome" haters love to hate. I would market them in 15mm and in 20mm and call them all "Tigers". Why? Just to watch them howl! What fun. Way back when, I bought a couple of ROCO Minitank M-47s, painted them white, added balkan crosses and German numbers on the turret. and introduced them into a game as King Tigers. And immediately found out that gamers have no sense of humour
