Has anybody bought this tank yet, it looks outstanding.

It does look great. I consider it a better tank than the Chi-ha because it has similar firepower for a smaller and faster tank.

The engine plant was only 120hp. So it could only go about 30mph but that was faster than the Chi-ha!

The CompanyB model is pretty darn good with very minor assembly required.

I have 6 of the 1/72 scale Dragon kits to build. I too like this Tank. There were more of them built than the Chi-Hi. Against an M3 Stewart it could be a battle. Against a Sherman no way did you stand a chance.

I have the Company B model of the 94,I wonder if they are compatible

There is a photo of a Sherman transporting a Ha-Go on it's rear engine deck as a trophy.

Neat little tank.

@CC: With a one-man turret, the commander of the Type 95 would have been awfully busy.

PilGrim15 May 2013 1:34 a.m. PST

CC where is that mock up Type 95 from?

It looks like a M3 Stuart running gear

Good question PilGrim. Did I see that tank in Flags of Our Fathers/Letters From Iwo Jima? The rear idler on a Stuart made contact with the ground. This one doesn't, but it might have been modified. The Stuart didn't have that bar across the bogies, but the bar might have been added to disguise the suspension. I'll have to screen LFIJ tonight and see if that's the tank.

Marmon-Harrington tank chassis? Or perhaps one of the " high speed tractors"?

Mapleleaf15 May 2013 6:51 p.m. PST

I don't remember seeing that bar on the running gear as shown in the above picture The following pictures are more typical
