I would like to know if anyone on TMP, especially in Europe has bought any of the Wargames Illustrated 'starter packs' that contain rules, miniatures and terrain. I am interested in knowing exactly what you get, how the price compares to buying the stuff seperately and would you recommend them to others. |

Don't you mean Miniatures Wargames? |

I bought the ancient starter a few years ago, it contained brief rules and lists for just the armies in the box Selucid vs. Republican Romans, the basic rules were DBA 1.0 I was hoping for more but it did come with a back issue magazine with an article on the two armies and DBA. The miniatures advertised were suppose to be minifigs, but instead I got chariot miniatures which I have never cared for, I dont like chariot figures. After shipping & etc. I would say it was a bum deal, I would not buy another one, too much for what little you get.

I bought the Wild West card buildings, which are fine, but a little on the expensive side for the quality of the card they were printed on. |

I was thinking about offering starter army sets from the lines I manufacture... any suggestions? Chris |
