Harry Pearson has written a short article on the wargaming activities of Norman Bel Geddes in 1930s for Vintage Wargaming.

You can read it here:

Well, I didn't know Norman Bel Geddes was a wargamer! That's a delightful gem of information …

Thanks

Phil

I knew, of course, of Barbara, but nothing of her father!

The man sounds--like many geniuses--to have been just "a tetch" mad, but I wish the family, or whoever's in charge now, would publish his war game rules, if nothing else.

Of course, the Bel Geddes were well known in their time, and could be the object of at least one gag in a WC Fields movie ("Never Give A Sucker An Even Break," I think) in which the super-rich and high-falutin' family is named the
"Bel Goodies."

Vintage!

Thank you, Sir, for the link!

Studying even what is available could be a career--I wish someone would take up the cross and write a overview.

If this man had access to anything modern computers for record keeping, etc, he would have been War Gaming's TESLA!
