Pleased to see that you have the crew correctly positioned. Note the rammer is wood. There seems to be a metalic gleem on the end but could the photograph and light. The ammunition number should be carrying a satchel over his shoulder for 3-4 rounds of ammunition. |

My crews are all correctly positioned nowadays thanks to input from Dr Summerfield (many thanks) but I haven't altered all the ones I'd alreaday got wrong (they are hard to get off the bases)- does this make me a slacker? |

@Green Tiger: No, it makes you a realist. |

Dear Green Tiger The gunners represent reality so as long as you have the correct number of figures it does not matter. Stephen |

because most manufacturers do not provide much variety in artilly crew (ie 4 firing pose, 4 loading), if they all stand in their "drill" positions it can look a tad fake. So I mix them up a bit to improve the "theatre" of it all. |

Pleased to see that you have the crew correctly positioned. Stephen, I find it interesting that there is a change between the Napoleonic and the American Civil War. As a re-enactor of the latter on a gun crew the man covering the vent was position on the right hand side of the carriage facing forward, whilst the man with the lanyard/portefire would be positioned on the left. In other words the reverse of the way shown. Anders, Nicely done so far. Elliott
