Is there a chronological way to watch the various Star Wars Clone Wars cartoons?

Most likely but them on DVD.
Your question reminds me of a friend telling me about the Tick, and how I just had to see it. The first three times I tried it, it was the same show each time.

There were two different series though which were done with very different art styles, and a one off movie before the second series was done.

The first series two seasons of 5 or 10 minute shorts, which made up about an hour and a half of shows each season.

Then the movie.

Then the new series which was 5 seasons I believe. That was 30 minute episodes.

Definitely get the DVDs and watch them, although the second series will never get finished as Disney cancelled it as it was running on a competing network when they purchased the Star Wars franchise.

I don't think the first cartoon fits into the second at all. It's just a highlight reel for the clone wars. :) Cartoon network just let some of their artists loose on it.

I think we'll see The Clone Wars cartoon again.

It will just be on a Disney channel, not Cartoon Network.

There is rumor that will be going to the XD channel later on.
It really is a great show in the last handful of seasons.

I'm waiting for this final season to end, and then for the complete series DVD.

The last seasons are really great? I thought the first ones were awesome and I kept up with the DVD releases until a year or two ago. Time to get caught up again …

I would start with the DVD/Blu Ray boxed sets and watch them in that order. Some of the villains return as recurring characters and it's more fun when you know what trouble they caused the first time around.

Sadly, the show has been cancelled. The shows supervising director made a statement that it has come to an end with a handful of episodes left to release. But season 6.

I always felt that the show was the best SW content after Empire. It was great to see that the shows creative team really loves SW. They even used old designs from all 6 movies that never made it onto the big screen.

I think the way the art work was on the show was really helpful to miniature painters. The show has a very painterly look and most of the characters have a three layer shading to them.

Sadly the show was stuck with those idiotic battle droids, to their credit they did make fun of them but the constant lurching from slapstick droids back to serious war drama ruined the show.
