I've been doing this for the last few weeks. It's turning out very nicely, in my biased opinion. Here's part One.

Very nice looking work, but it's JBR, so I'm not sure anything else is possible. |

am i the only one that thinks close combat weapons on walkers is silly? i'd rather see something like claymore mines attached to the sides/front/back to keep infantry off, and the regular anti-armor weapons would be used against tanks and such. i dont see the appeal of giving them big clunky swords or buzzsaws. but that's just me. i'd rather put on two of those autocannons with the drum magazine. regardless, it is a very cool mech, and i'd love to get a few. i'll just be loading it up with more firepower |

Stoss55, This mech, and the Critical Mass Games system of other mechs (and their parts that will be compatible with it), will give you the ability to outfit it as you wish. Dual weapons, heavy missile packs, and close-in suppressive weapons. Folks that want close combat mechs, or a mixture of both, will be equally buried in options. I think you're going to be happy with the possibilities. Best, JBR |

As a matter of fact, forgive the double post, but here's a compilation of what we've got so far, and the potential therein.

If you don't like close combat weapons on vehicles, they're called engineering tools. Ever seen a backhoe with the rubble claw at work? What do you think a jackhammer would do to a tank's armor? What about logging skidders or loaders? Heck, there are a couple logging machines that have an arm grab the tree, a second arm cuts it down, and takes all the limbs off of the trunk right there, while the machine moves forward onto the limbs and it puts the limbed log onto a trailer behind the machine. |

Right, so, here's a new Power Hammer I whipped up. It's based on the Stanley FUBAR, a demolition hammer I have in my own toolbox. link
Not to worry, though, things are all close-combat. Here's a shot of the reworked laser cannons, subject to client approval.
Enjoy! Best, JBR |
