| Angel Barracks | 07 May 2013 2:55 a.m. PST |
LOL @ the PS. If I get chance I ceratinly will, probably during set up as hopefully it will be a bit quieter. Unless we end up next to each other of course, in which case you will regret that offer! Michael.

This is THE show for me every year. Best in the North West |
| Lardie the Great | 07 May 2013 8:49 a.m. PST |
It is a good show and it's one of my favourites but I think its the only show in the north west. |
| Yesthatphil | 08 May 2013 5:02 a.m. PST |
Yes
Phalanx is a great show
The Society of Ancients will be there. Martin Charlesworth will be running his dirty DBA challenge as usual so do pop over and have a quick game. I will have the latest issues of Slingshot for you to have a look at. Phil Ancients on the Move |

Phalanx is certainly the only show left of any size but there are a few smaller shows & tournaments and there is also Britcon in Manchester. |

Its a good show. And only a couple of weeks before Gauntlet : TMP link So a regular for many of our club members, being only 45 mins down the road from it. |

Phalanx in the morning. :) Always a good day out. |
| Lardie the Great | 15 Jun 2013 12:15 p.m. PST |
Seemed busy as normal, bought some bits, more impulse stuff. Got some wind turbines of Angel Barracks who nearly got me into 6mm and for me was amazing as I generally view all non 28mm stuff as heresy. Some acrylic tokens I thought I could use for tomorrows war was my biggest buy (Litko is good but not cheap over here) altogether though a pleasant trip all round. |

Got a steal on the B&B, and my house once again smells of laser cut mdf. |

An excellent morning out – nice show that seems to be returning to it's glory days when it was held later in the year. Seemed very busy. The day only got better – great win for The Lions down under. Wales slaughtered by Japan – oh how we laughed. One of THE finest tries I've ever seen by The All Blacks v's France. Finished off with a fine series win for England v's Argentina. Oh happy, happy days! And I'm still laughing at the Welsh! |
| Jeremy Sutcliffe | 15 Jun 2013 3:59 p.m. PST |
Luke. That was Wales' second team. The first team are the British Lions. That aside, Phalanx was encouragingly busy and bustling. I hope money was being passed around. Congratulations to the St Helens' Spartans. |

Well done to the organisers – well run as always and two very friendly people on the door. Plenty to look at and draw inspiration from. I really liked the 10mm Napoleonic (Pendraken) game that was played on a short haired blanket type cloth, draped over hill forming lumps and bumps. I am now on the lookout for that type of cloth. It was done in a pale olive green colour. I liked the basing of their figures – more open than mine but I thought they looked better for that and a sense of some 'motion' had been brought into the cavalry stands by not having strictly straight lines – looked good. Got pulled into a new period / theatre for me by picking up Texas Glory, a block game boardgame from Columbia Games, covering the Alamo 1885 / 1886 period at the strategic level. Overall there seemed a really good balance of traders, I was able to pick up some Fathers Day treats, surely a convenient clash of dates that must help this show. |

I would've said but in the short while we were talking you had about 3 sales. I was the one who saw you get attacked by a display rack. You seemed to be prettty busy, I've assembled the turbines and I think I need some more
so I'll be ordering in the near future. |

Ah-ha, were you the one that said "you never touched it" or something like that? Yes, they are cool. Good for the bigger craaaaaaazy scales!

| Lardie the Great | 16 Jun 2013 8:54 a.m. PST |
Yep that's the one, did you have a good show? |
| Adam from Lancashire | 17 Jun 2013 6:58 a.m. PST |
It was a good day out. Spent a good amount of time chatting to passers by and put some faces to names from forums. Didn't get much time to have a proper look around at all of the games, just a quick scoot round to a few stalls before manning our table. Does anybody have photos of all the games? I've scoured the internet and found pictures of a couple of games but not all. |
