Any suggestions on what 28mm figures to use for the following conflict….

"The Puget Sound War is often remembered in connection with the 1856 Battle of Seattle and the execution of a central figure of the war, Nisqually Chief Leschi."

Thanks,
Mikeyg

Are you looking for sculpts for NW Indians? I am not sure there are any. If you want 1850s US Army and Marines, there are any number available.

From the few photos and drawings I have seen, most of the Indians would have been wearing western clothes.

I think Eureka has (or had) a few figures in 25/28mm, including some with slat armour. If they are not currently shown on their site, send Nic an e-mail, he may still have the molds or can tell you who now has them.

bsrlee, I think Eureka did some Tlingit but they were 15mm?

The London War Room produced a line of 28mm Tlingit warriors and some Russian fur hunters for them to spar with. LWR is long OOP, but I saw a post recently on TMP saying that someone had the molds and was going to re-release the line. I don't recall who, or when promised. If you can't wait, you might put a Wanted ad in the TMP Markeplace and/or on Bartertown, and see whether anyone who bought a few bags back in the day is willing to sell his stash.

A re-release of the LWR Tlingits would be timely, because Paymaster Games is promising to produce a new line of 28mm Tlingits in conjunction with their Going Native: Warpath rules. Release is pre-announced for August 2013. I hope he makes that date. The greens look great:

There was a rumour that Askari Miniatures might have been bringing some out, I am not sure.

Apperently according to the link you can only look at the Paymaster figures if you are a backer.

Shipka, Askari Miniatures might be the ones with the LWR molds.

Sorry about the blocked link. Tonight I'll try to post pix in this thread.
