This heavy all-terrain truck, in both its civilian/commercial version (the Explorer) and its law enforcement version (the Charger), will be released in a few days. It comes with both the dome for the Explorer version and the rapid fire pulse gun for the Charger.

Ruben Torregrosa has done an amazing job on the paintup, don't you think? The bottom one is the Charger.

That's a paint job!?

Is that Photoshopped at all?

The color is blended so well that I was sure it was a colored render.

Damn that's a good paint job grin

PiersBrand04 May 2013 11:39 a.m. PST

I want two!

khurasanminiatures04 May 2013 11:59 a.m. PST

Yes, it's a paint job. Ruben is that good.

Well, Ruben's a genius anyway, Leland. You mean STEVE'S a genius, which he is.

Jamesonsafari04 May 2013 3:34 p.m. PST

Ohmygod that's a gorgeous paint job!

My only quibble is I'd have thought the police version would be, you know, painted in some kind of police livery.

Jamesonsafari04 May 2013 3:35 p.m. PST

Or is it he same model with turrets swapped out?

khurasanminiatures04 May 2013 3:41 p.m. PST

On a jerkwater world it's entirely possible that the police are part of the same corporation that runs the civilian vehicles. And yes, it's the same model. grin

clkeagle04 May 2013 3:54 p.m. PST

On a jerkwater world it's entirely possible that the police are part of the same corporation that runs the civilian vehicles.

Even on more developed worlds, it could easily be one megacorporation with a monopoly on all vehicles. It's hard to get a reputation as a double-dealer when you've already wiped out all the competition…

Genius at every level, from the man who conceived the idea of launching a unique line of 15mm sic-fi (YOU, Mister!), to the man who executed the master, to the painter.

That's a win-win-win for those of us who are addicted to 15mm sic-fi of the Khurasan variety…evil grin

Rubens done some fantastic work on Panzer 46 stuff as well -- his 15mm german what-ifs look as good as 1/35 scale models.

Excellent vehicles (I have the military version and it is a sharp looking model)and a truly excellent paint job that I can never duplicate but will enjoy trying to.

Thanks,

Pat

That looks awesome! What a neat and unique design!

Could I use your images for posting NEWS on my modeling website? I could give credit to the painter.

Thanks!

khurasanminiatures06 May 2013 7:01 p.m. PST

Sure, as long as you link back to my site as a courtesy I never have a problem with that. Thanks for asking.

Cyclopeus06 May 2013 9:06 p.m. PST
