If anyone is interested, you can see new upcoming figures for the British Legion in the South American Wars of Liberation here:

You'll find that these figures can also be used as British Legion in campaign uniform for the First Carlist War (there are certainly period prints showing the troops with black covers on their shakos). They are also fully compatible in scale with Perry Miniatures plastics and metals.

It would appear this is the 'next big thing', a couple of ranges now for these in 28mm.
