Going to Bath next week any figure and rules shops there ?

Not a good tale to tell Im afraid. There used to be a good one down by the station, The Bath Model Centre, but it closed down a few years ago. There was also a specialist military modelling shop just off the South West corner of Queens Square, but I was never able to get to shop there due to the "gentleman's" opening hours of 10:30 to 4:30 and closed for lunch! Im assuming it failed as a business!!!

Your best bet might be Bonapartes. They have a web site.Mainly modelling minis rather than wargames.

Theres always GW of course.

Call and check opening hours before you stroll up – Bath seems to have its very own ideas of how to run a business.

When I was living there I used to go to Devizes for all my wargaming needs to The Keep. Now also defunct I believe.

More bad news I'm afraid Bonapartes closed the other year,
welcome to the gaming wastland that is Bath and surounding area.
Only GW left but in a smaller store.
Various shops in Bristol, Frome model shop and Triple Helix out near Westbury.

Thanks.
Should be going to Bristol to see SS Great Britain

Bristol pretty much a wasteland too.

GW in centre (think it's closed on Mondays, tends to shut most lunch times as well) is it these days.

There's a Model Zone in the Galleries shoping centre and Antics tucked behind that.

Is Beatties still going in Bristol?

Not wargaming per se, but always worth a browse.

Thanks all.

1815Guy – No, Beatties vanished a few years ago. It did try to do wargaming once, Flintlock & (?)Chronowar or something but it didn't last that long and it qas back to kits

Bonapartes is still trading from home in Westbury but just large scale figures & kits (54mm & up)
I kinda sort out any wargaming goodies Dave (Bonaprtes) acquires – which is not a hugh amount these days & will be selling at the Wargamers table top sale in Bristol on May 12th. – which I also organise!

I good shop in the Bath area is the Froome Model Shop ( not sure if it's the correct name) near the town centre & had a lot of military kits + a lot of the current plastics – or did last time I visited.

Triple Helix has closed too, sadly – but Frome Model Shop is still there and is very well stocked. A steep climb up St Catherine's Hill from the town centre, but worth it.
