I have just done on a post on my first 28mm British brigade for my Peninsular War army.

I have used Perry metals and plastic, and Old Glory 1st Ed.

I have been re-basing all my old stuff the same way. A lot nicer. Still waiting to get some tufts to tart them up a bit more.

There's nothing like a battalion in firing-line. Very nice red-coats and great basing too. I can't really figure out which miniature is which make, but they do look great.

In the pic above the far battalion is OG 1st Ed, the left hand oen is Perry plastic and the 60th Rifles are perry plastic/metals.

I now have models by Essex, Connoisseur, Brigade Games, Bicorne, Hotspur, Minifigs, Perry, Victrix, Hinchliffe, Hinchliffe Foremost and a few others who I cannot remember – a real manufacturer Bleeped text.

Very nice Brian !
I like the look of the men towards the the back of the base.

Are they on 50mm square ? Looks bigger than the 40mm I am going to use with my Perry's.

Also going to have to pinch the idea of using that casualty figure as I have one currently half painted atm, more as a technique test than anything.

Brian, beautiful artwork you can be proud of. If it matters to you, your colours appear to be in reversed position. Perhaps just a reversal from your photograph, the senior colour, in the case of the Napoleonic era British, the King's, is to the right of the Regimental Colour. I really like your basing as well.

I had no idea about the colours. You learn something new every day:) They are not changing position now.

The bases are 40x50mm. I had based my French infantry on 40x40, but went with the slightly deeper bases for my British and Spanish troops. The main reason, especially for the plastic British, was to try and keep those scarily skinny bayonets inside the 'base'.

The 60th Rifles are bases 2-3 figures on 40x40 bases.
