Hello:
I wanted to see if anyone can tell me how similar are these two manufacturers' testudo.
1) Are they similar in height, width, etc.?
2) Are their armors compatible (same era, etc.)?
Price-wise, Warrior miniatures is a lot cheaper.

Any help would be greatly appreciated?

Hey, I know Warlord very well, but am not, at all familiar with Warrior. I just tried to get on their site and kept getting kicked out lol. Sorry dude.

Ok, Thanks.

It's a little confusing.

Here is Warlord's rendering:

In contrast, here is what Warrior's webbie is showing -- this small thumb' image:

But the line-item entry reflects it and its component parts as:

25ARE3 24-man Testudo £14.00 GBP (24 x AR11 and 1 AR5)
25AR11 is listed separately as, "Legionarie, Testudo shield overhead," so, its NOT clear to me then where the six shields at the front of the image come from. If you look carefully at the image, its seems to me that there are ONLY 24 figures each holding their shield overhead --- it does NOT appear that there are six MORE figures holding their shield to the front. I wonder if you get six extra shields, and are expected to somehow glue them onto the first row of legionaries who are holding their shields up?

Also note, no one is holding a shield to right or left, and "I" thought the "testudo" at least provided protection to front, left, right, and overhead -- nearly all-round protection aside from the rear?? huh?

To be FAIR, here is the image of some re-enactors -- the Vermin Street Guard?? -- and they are not protecting their flanks, either…

huh?

Not an expert but Warlords testudo is 28mm but warrior is 25mm.

I like the idea of the 'veteran' legionary on the front corner holding three shields.

Thanks everyone for the evaluation. I am also confused as to where the Front rank are holding their shields.

I have the Warrior 15mm testudo. I assume it's not that one you're asking about.

Count the figures then the shields on the Warlord one……I see 6 figures abreast but I see shields on the left flank, then shields at the front then shields on the right flank with 6 shields at the front and 18 on top, 10 at the sides giving 34 shields but wait you only have a block of 6 by 5 = 30 figures so how have the managed that……..is the suggestion that some of the soldiers carried two shields?!
