Some of you may have seen that I built a Hospital building which is available as a PDF download. It's made out of 5mm foam board and PDF prints.

It's perfect for a lot of different games, especially zombie games! I recently brought out an extension pack which allows the creator to make something like this:

Here's a view (cross section) of the rooms and so forth.

And here's a little scenario where some army guys are about to shoot down a bunch of zombies (all zombies/hospital beds/trees and car park pdf are also available on our website…the name is in the photo).

Anyway, Hope you evnjoyed the photos. We're on Facebook, so go ahead an like us (if you want!)..

I believe "wow" is the word I'm looking for….

GROSSMAN17 Apr 2013 1:06 p.m. PST

Great looking product.

Ark3nubis17 Apr 2013 1:16 p.m. PST

I wish I could get a game in, never mind one on as awesome a table as this, top dolla indeed! That close up shot of your board reminds me a bit of one of the scenes in The Walking Dead game I played on Xbox where they were trying to save a woman trapped in a motel apartment on a second floor, great stuff! More more…

Very nice way to display your products; great looking set up.

Impressed.

Looking at the site and the other things that can be done I see a whole lot of zombie games coming and a school for "Fallen Skies" idea too.

I only have one question, Do you think It can be reduced in printing for 15mm without getting too distorted?

Personal logo Doms Decals Sponsoring Member of TMP18 Apr 2013 1:48 a.m. PST

Should be easy with a little thought; it's designed around 5mm foamcore, so if you reduce it to 60% and stick it to 3mm material (maybe foamed PVC?) it all stays in proportion.

Ark3nubis18 Apr 2013 4:58 a.m. PST

In our portfolios, drawings reduced from A1 down to A3 (done for ease of inserting into the portfoilio itself) always look sharper and crisper than the original, and miles btter than images scaled up tfrom smaller to big. I'd say reducign the size will look good, maybe even a bit better than the original…

Looks like Sgt. Benson, of U.N.I.T., has his hands full… "Has anyone seen the Doctor, or the Brigadier?…"

That parking lot shot is fantastic! Gorgeous photo's, and product. Cheers!

Cheers for all the comments guys!

As for 15mm, I was thinking about resizing everything and altering the building instructions to work for 15mm. So is this something people would be interested in??

I would have to resize everything to 60-ish %, and then alter all the intstructions with new sizes and so forth, but I can probably do it using the original files (not the PDF files).

Let me know :)

Rovanite18 Apr 2013 5:59 a.m. PST

I would do it for everything, roads and buildings.

Am I the only who who looked at the interior layout and thought, with no small amount of affection "Theme Hospital?"

Rovanite18 Apr 2013 6:15 a.m. PST

I loved Theme Hospital haha … Especially the people with the "Bloaty head" syndrome… they were funny lol

I'd definitely be a taker for a 15mm version if you're willing to redraft it.

(Heck, if not I'll probably get the 28mm anyway and figure out a resize myself, but if you're willing to do the work, even better….)

(And yeah, there is a bit of theme hospital vibe – loved that game….)

+1 on the 15mm resizing.

War Monkey18 Apr 2013 10:42 a.m. PST

Yes 15mm would be a plus for me

HammerHead18 Apr 2013 12:31 p.m. PST

stunning

Milites18 Apr 2013 12:40 p.m. PST

'Jenkins…. chap with skin falling off, five rounds rapid!' Oh, and buy the creator of that wonderful model hospital a double scotch, afterwards.'

Rovanite18 Apr 2013 2:16 p.m. PST

Cheers all, and why thank you for the scotch Milites!

I've been looking over the files, and I think I will need to re-work some parts to make it better for 15mm. For 28mm space was an issue, so I made it in loads of little parts for better storage. But when I resize it down to 15mm, there's no need to have so many parts.

By this I mean the original hallway was made up of 3 parts, so when made smaller, this can probably be cut out as one long piece as it will only be about 30cm. Hmmm this will need some thought!

Less parts is always good as far as I am concerned.

Rovanite30 Apr 2013 3:09 a.m. PST

15mm version of the smaller 2 ward hospital is now available on the grekwood miniatures website :)

I haven't done the extension but yet, but it will follow at some point.

skyking2030 Apr 2013 10:07 a.m. PST

Question: The outside shows it as a two story building but with the roof off it looks like a one story building. Am I missing something?

Since I am taking my Zombicide game 3D, I am going to buy your hospital anyway.

Oh never mind. I just looked again and saw the floors in the background. Any advice on how to keep the floors aligned during play?

That is very nice indeed!

Etranger02 May 2013 2:15 a.m. PST

Bit clean for the NHS but a lovely model. Lots of corridors for the Khurasan 'scientists' to run down….

AndrewGPaul02 May 2013 3:54 a.m. PST

That looks really nice. I'd be tempted to cut out the windows and put a sheet of transparency film between the foamcard and the inside wall sheet.

skyking2002 May 2013 6:56 a.m. PST

Ordering mine today! This should go great with my (upcoming) 3D Zombicide boards.

Skyking20 – The building itself should stay in place as long as it isn't knocked about. Using blue tac, or some sort of double sided tape to hold the ground floor to the "floor" would help hold it steady more. The top floor is a bit more tricky, just gotta be careful not to knock it too much when using it.

AndrewGPaul – In the prints PDF there is a sheet where I have put a bunch of windows for printing on transparency paper. That way you can cut them out, glue them into place, and then put the interior print over it! :)

skyking2006 May 2013 7:59 a.m. PST

I got all the files down loaded and cannot wait until my Logan 350 gets here to start cutting my foamcore walls.

I was just thinking – and don't hate me – this building needs some AC units on the roof both as decorations and for accuracy! Does anyone make a rooftop AC unit for gaming?
