I'm looking for two massive dwarf statues (28mm) for my Lonely Mountain. I thought I had seen some of these before. I could use something 4 to 8 inches tall. I want something stylized, blocky and vertical rather than converting an articulated large dwarf figurine if possible.

Can anyone recommend something?

Try chess pieces. This is the first one I found, but I'm sure there must be other styles:

When I was in grade schools we used milk cartons filled with a carveable plaster like mix and then we used butter knives and craved what ever we wanted to. Might try that again for kicks, might try to make a book end/Terrain item.

Odo,

This pic might help in sculpting your book ends:

PS. They remind me a lot of the Slavic pagan carvings:

Dan, they're also called Lewis Chessmen, after the Isle near where they were found. I like the knight on the left:

Thanks for the suggestions. While I like the Lewis chessmen, they are too well known in their own right for my purposes. The custom sculpted ones at Game-Terrain.info were the ones I thought were in production. The best option I found was a Thor from Dryad Designs…

I could wait for the next Hobbit movie release to see if something new comes out…

The Auckland airport lists several souvenir shops – perhaps an e-mail inquiry about a replica of the statue?

Good thought RST.

@streetline…I'm glad I don't care for that dwarf.

A Warhammer speculation is that there will be a new "Dwarf statue." (Unclear if it is a Golem or a terrain piece) (source: Scopey)

(In the end, my Lonely Mtn. does not have statues. Perhaps in the future it will.)

Another nice concept…
