Hello,
Does anyone know where I can get hold off a second hand box set of battles of the five armies, or where I can get a copy?

Is it likely this will see a re-release once last last film in the Hobbit trilogy is released?

Can't make it to fisticuffs :( how much are you going to put it on for?

Carpet General,

Purely speculation on my part but I'd guess the original set won't be re-released – I'm betting they'll do a battle game, but they'll run out a new set of figs based closely on the movie imagery and reprint the rules with new pics showing the new figs.

That way they can get the fan base to buy in and charge $150 USD or $200 USD per set rather than $110 USD

But then again, maybe I'm just overly cynical ;)

EDIT: Actually, I should be fair to GW, putting out a new set is part of how they'll re-coup their investment in the movie IP, and I'm guessing that was a BIG investment. There's nothing stopping gamers from sourcing alternate figs from other manufacturers to play Battle of Five Armies inspired games, but if they want the 'authentic' MOVIE-based experience they'll have to give GW their cut. Which is fair, since that's what GW paid for. Truth is, players might not be saving much money by going with alternates, GW boxes typically have a lot of figs.

The figures aren't that great as they are on thick bases.
