Hunter 2 involved the inheritor of the Hunter franchise, a full-blooded human warrior named Karas who took up the mantle, title and helmet and got to work killing off artificial mutants being mass-produced by evil wizards. This series was more like Thongor or one of those second-string Conan-types facing off against wizards and mutants in a post-apocalyptic Shannara-like setting
and he gets a very special side-kick/ally--the Exterminator Cyborg! Very Cool. Some back ground found here link Magazine covers link
So the question is; what rule book would allow one to work up, a robot/cyborg to run in a game, along wtih other players/characters |

Wastelands would do that. |

Traveller covers that in the Robots book (8?). |

Hell on Earth, with the cyborgs book. (It's all still available in PDF.) |

I would say that nearly any and all would allow for a character that is artificial/robotic/cyborg
the only real issue is the invulnerable, indestructible, and unstoppable nature of the character you wish to portray. I would think a superhero game, like champions, would be a good start. Use the rules for a post apoc setting and go from there. :) |

Ah, Hunter, Hunter II, and even little Hunter III – the '70s, the glory days of Eerie and Creepy! (I never really got into Vampirella, except to ogle the covers on the magazine shelves.) Not to mention Heavy Metal/Metal Hurlant! Heck, Marvel even put out its own line of horror, fantasy, ans sci-fi magazines. There's a Hunter omnibus available now, if you're interested. Even though I have all of the old Eeries that feature Hunter, I picked up the book to have all of the stories in one place: link I liked the Rook stories just a scooch more than the Hunter stories, but not by much. That's a series I'd like to see collected in book form, too. You could certainly kitbash an Exterminator robot out of some of the available 28mm and 15mm robots. I'd like to see someone produce separate heads, or even full minis, wearing Hunter's distinctive, cool almost-spherical helmet, in 28mm. |

The megaminis robot post on the main page this morning made me think of robot/cyborg hunter
by no means a match in looks, it does have a quality, especially for the 15mm (being 20mm it would make a decent war bot) or 28mm (20mm makes for a decent bomb disposal/drone/etc.) TMP link |

While reminiscing about Warren mags, I also have to mention one of my favorite series of stories, Hard John Apple's Nuclear Hit parade:
I you're a fan of hot-and-dusty post-apocalyptic stories and movies, like Planet of the Apes, Mad Max/Road Warrior, and A Boy and His Dog, you should try to track down a copy. |

Thank you all, for the information @ 28mm Man, That's what I needed to know didn't think of superhero rules to think of how tough to make this, and yes megaminis robot made me think of this. @ jpattern2, I've been such a fan of all those mag rags, and always fall back to them when I have run out of gaming ideas. Thanks for the link and the book suggestion will follow up on those I have thought of kit bashing this and looking for parts now or may just run as is stuff, Gaming idea is near or far future is that soldiers would be paired up with a battle buddy robot/android/cyborg that's heavily armored and armed, that is also the pack mule as well, which I can use for any environment |

I used a cyborg mercenary in a game called Cyberpunk a long long time ago and used a GW servitor for any adventures that required miniatures. We blamed bladerunner for the lost hours but it was fun and may suit your needs. You may need one of the add ons to fully play the cyborg you require. this may help link |
