I've been painting this banner of Winged hussars for "By Fire & Sword" over the last 6 days, you can see a bunch more pictures of the finished result over at my blog as usual: link
Also, if you are curious and want to learn a bit about all the steps involved and how things were done I documented that as well and you can see each of the 5 previous parts here:

Lovely! If there is a more impressive type of troops than the Winged Hussars, I'm not aware of them. |

Truly gorgeous work. They don't look like 15s. |

They are nice figures and the buildings are good too. Looking forwards to picking up a set of the rules and chatting to the chaps next week. The figures come with metal bases which are the right size for FOG, double trouble!!! Tally Ho! |

Thanks guys :-) @nickinsomerset Yeah the base sizes for this game are similar to those of other historical systems. 4x2cm for infantry stands, 4x3cm for cavalry stands and 4x4cm for artillery stands. I use Warbases MDF stuff for my bases since I was afraid I would just chip the paint off the metal bases. My friends also use Sarissa laser cut MDF bases from Sarissa and some kind of plastic (also laser cut?) stuff from an unknown manufacturer. The only important thing are the measurements and not the material. |
