I figured it would be easier to ask here than to do all the research myself. I already have some later period Samurai using Peter Pig, but I would like to know who makes accurate Mongol Invasion Period Samurai in 15mm?

How appropriate are the following manufacturers?
Two Dragons
Essex
Minifigs
Falcon Miniatures
Eureka Miniatures
Tin Soldier Miniatures

Any others?

Eureka samurai, even though they offer back banners, are more accurate to the Kamakura period and I highly recommend them, just don't order the back banners. :

I used a great online kamakura period illustrated scroll as a guide:

The eureka figures are listed under their pirates for some unknown reason:

Have fun Tony,

Essex Figures are lovely and represent the period well with a good variety of poses, deffinitly one of their better ranges

Hey Tony,
Used the Minifigs.
They're lacking in mostly naked spearchumps, but have plenty of over-armoured pretty boys to lead them.
Here's Clan Toho in surprisingly uniform paint job.

As with all Minifigs, they're somewhat staid in their poses.
I like them. The Essex are shmexy, I have some awaiting brush time.

I suppose a better question is 'can you mix the different makers in the same unit, do they need to be in separate units, or are they totally not compatible?'
