Back in 2005, a miniatures company ran up a few hundred dollars in advertising bills on TMP, then went silent on me, and I had to cancel their banners for non-payment.

Over the years, I've continued to send them monthly invoices, which they've never responded to. (The company has been mostly inactive for years.)

Then, out of the blue, today they paid up their bill!

Sort of makes me feel better about the human race…

Maybe some defunct lines will now be back in production? grin

In this hobby, is anything ever really dead? grin

Very cool (and rare) that after so long, they still take their outstanding debts seriously enough to actually PAY them.

Makes you think that the company has changed hands, perhaps following a death, and a lawyer is settling the estate.

That is a good story. I hate to think about someone feeling guilty for eight years, but it's good to know someone thinks a debt is a debt, even if you had to shut down the business. Here's hoping their conscientiousness pays off for them!

They may just ask to start advertising again.

Good for them, and good for you.

Good for everyone, probably.

"Money up front" is all very well, but it's nice when people behave decently unforced.
