I had time over this past weekend to finally complete my Eureka Teddy Bear Pirate duck-shaped-watering-can ship conversion. I'm quite please with the results.
For those of you who haven't been following along with my last two blog posts; I found this great plastic duck shaped watering can at my local Target store a couple weeks ago. And, it looked to me to be the perfect base to make a rubber-ducky shaped pirate ship for my Eureka Teddy Bears to sail in.
So after a couple weeks of conversion work on it, I'm happy to finally show the finished product for your enjoyment.

Great job.

Gokiburi08 Apr 2013 4:20 p.m. PST

Arr, tis the "Robber Duck", scourge o' the seven ponds!
Best steer clear o' her lad, far better teddies than you 'ave lost their fluff to the cruel corks of her mighty popguns.

Ashokmarine08 Apr 2013 4:43 p.m. PST

Super cool!

charared08 Apr 2013 5:04 p.m. PST

thumbs up

A fleet would automatically form a line astern. Does she get movement bonuses for her secret below-the-waterline propulsion system? +2 for imagination, Chris.

I will never look at a rubber duck in the same light! But what a fantastic idea!

Boromirandkermit09 Apr 2013 12:07 a.m. PST

Very nicely done mate!
Looks fantastic. :)

Thanks you all for the very kind comments! I'm glad you like the results.

I love Gokiburi's quote; and I think I will now have to christen this ship: "The Robber Duck".

I think the next one I make will be, "The Jemima Puddleduck's Revenge". grin

Y'aar! With a fine vessel such as that, 'tis time for piratin'!

Tom Bryant09 Apr 2013 9:45 a.m. PST

BRAVO ZULU sir, I salute you for initiative and imagination on this project. Well done indeed!

Delta Vee09 Apr 2013 10:21 a.m. PST

that is just brilliant. bouth sappire penguin and my self have just got great big smiles from seeing it.

Gabriel Landowski Fezian09 Apr 2013 11:17 a.m. PST

Wow.

The only thing I might have done is to waterline it 1/2 to 1/4 under the gun ports.

Now you need a little one dragged behind it.

Brian Smaller09 Apr 2013 12:12 p.m. PST

I was thinking the same thing. A pirate ship needs a jolly boat even if it is a ducky. Brilliant.

DogWater09 Apr 2013 3:00 p.m. PST

Such fun.

That is all kinds of cute. Well done!

EricThe Shed10 Apr 2013 2:13 p.m. PST

This is sooo cool !

Mako1110 Apr 2013 2:23 p.m. PST

Looks excellent!

Surprised with the traditional mast arrangement though.

Would've thought perhaps two masts, angled outwards to the sides, so it could sail in a "wing in wing" arrangement, on downwind runs.

AnneOleary11 Apr 2013 3:05 a.m. PST

This has been a real pleasure to watch you do the steps. Fun, fun stuff.

Patrice11 Apr 2013 1:44 p.m. PST

Excellent!

MacrossMartin27 Apr 2013 5:02 a.m. PST

I only just saw this. Just TOO charming. :)

You know, that would make a great Pythonesque pirate ship, maybe with more details, railings, ratlines, etc, etc… Hmmm…..

tkdguy30 Apr 2013 11:59 p.m. PST

Nice!

Mako1102 May 2013 11:55 p.m. PST

Apparently, someone has copied your design, and gone a bit larger, albeit MUCH LARGER.

Reports are there's a 52 foot tall one in Hong Kong's harbor.
