I managed to bag some pre-release Grymn in powered armour and painted them up:
Well, the unpainted versions are now available to buy here: link I will be the first to admit that I have made a small order and can't wait to get painting them again :) |

They look awesome and genuinely seem well armoured in the design. The painting style you have used is very good and works with the round-ness of the armour. Did you use the same scheme on normal grymm? |

No, I have used a Berlin camouflage style on some but have kept the rest fairly plain. Berlin:
Standard:
The powered armour is going to be from an attached regiment so can be a bit different (a bit like the Air Assault platoon in the Berlin style camo). |

How tall are the Grym powered armour suits? |

Wow, we've been waiting so long for these

The powered armour suits are 27mm from the base of the sole of the foot to the top of the head. Here is a cut and paste of all the available components:
You have to order them as individual pieces (two arms and a body) so remember that or you may end up disappointed ;) |

Can you say magnets! (separate arms) |
Insomniac | 08 Apr 2013 7:22 a.m. PST |
Magnets would work really well because there is a good peg/socket joint to act as support and a guide for drilling the holes to put the magnets in. |

I don't suppose you have a 15mm fig you could snap a pic of beside one of these, Insomniac? |

Dog from Critical Mass, Cyborg from the Scene:
Here is the cyborg next to a standard Grymn:
Those are the only 15mm miniatures that I own. |

Thanks, Inso, They might make good landmate style battlesuits for these guys;

They're average, and the detail isn't really there. They do look like 80s models. Like a few people have said, they look more like chubby 15mm soldiers than dwarves. I guess there's not many options for sci-fi dwarves, so having more options is good, but these figures really aren't all there. Also, there's no torso with a bare head, or female torso. Also a standard bearer with a "dwarfy" symbol? Perhaps in time. |

@CV – There is a torso with a bare head, a male one, that hasn't been released yet (they have been hastily put in the shop prior to Salute). I'll have a chat with Hasslefree and see if we can get a female one too. As for the style/detail
we'll have to differ on that one because I like them and like them plain
but you are as entitled to your opinion as I am. Standard bearers don't generally march to war nowadays so I am dubious that one would be necessary for sci-fi Dwarfs
but if you really wanted one, you could easily convert a spare arm. What sort of Dwarfy symbol would you suggest? The Grymn don't conform to the fantasy Dwarfs in space thing so I'm not sure what would work for them. |

I have received some metal powered armour now and have started to paint it. I also managed to finish the four-Grymn command squad:
There is more info about this and a bunch of other stuff, here: link |
