A fun day at home watching baseball allowed me to get some painting done on the Libyan infantry for my Carthaginian army. The figures are Gripping Beast.

I debated long and hard whether to get these or not when I was working on my Second Punic War armies 18 months ago. These sculpts are so very nice, but I wanted to use Aventine for my Romans and was worried about compatibility. I eventually went with some Aventine units (they have a few that work), Renegade, and Relic instead. |

Thanks for the comments everybody. @GDrover: My Carthaginians right now are made up of Gripping Beast and Relic figures and I will be starting the Republican Romans very soon. Like you, I will be using Aventine for the Romans, so I am hoping that they are fairly compatible. |
