Hi guys,

I thought I'd do a progress report on my Canaanite project started last december (first thread here : TMP link Most figures are Foundry except for the chariots and some charioteers (Cutting Edge).

I've added the first 3 chariots (they will be part of my elite chariot unit, ie royal guards,so I wanted a uniform look to distinguish them from the other chariot units) :

Shasu Bedouins :

More spearmen :

and a small vignette I call "Feast of Vultures". The vultures are from Foundry and were sent as freebies with my Shasu Bedouins. Not wanting free stuff to go to waste I figured I had to find a way to include these animals in my biblical project.

A lot more pics and close-up on my blog : link

Hope you like,

Cheers!

These look very nice!
I like the vibrant colors as well as the skintones (even if it is probably a tad too reddish for the area).

Might be a good idea to give the trees a quick drybrush or at least matt varnish to remove the toylike glossy feel.

Figures look great. When I return from deployment, I can't wait to begin painting my Summerian Army. Hope I can match up to your painting style.
