finally nice to see some news on these guys…

Unrepentant Werewolf at work03 Apr 2013 3:51 a.m. PST

I shall wait for someone to stock them in the UK before I get a few, they caught me twice with the pre-orders, not getting me a 3rd time, nice as they are.

I'll buy them the instant I see actual product. Until then…

wminsing03 Apr 2013 6:38 a.m. PST

Yep, nice looking mini, will wait until I see other stores carrying the product….

I also will be waiting. Not only until stores stock them, but until I see some reviews online.

That said, I'm really looking forward to them. Some Hardsuits are just what my Venaurans need!

Easter eggs with guns! I needs them!

BlackWidowPilot Fezian03 Apr 2013 12:42 p.m. PST

Well, looks like now we're getting into the ballpark at long last…. much closer to my original proposal… just needs jump jets and a Y-rack… evil grin

I am so hard for that mini right now

Splod8904 Apr 2013 3:12 a.m. PST

That makes me happy… Rereading The Forever War at the moment and this is what I picture. Exactly.
I'll be waiting till I see them on shelves like everyone else however.

billthecat04 Apr 2013 8:14 a.m. PST

I hope we see these at 'The Warstore' very soon sometime in the near far-future… A box of these and a couple boxes of bugs and bingo.

For the record: both of the powered armors pictured in this thread were done by the same sculptor. They'd look good together, I think :D

Dogged04 Apr 2013 1:46 p.m. PST

Quite interesting… Let's wait for them getting sold in Europe…

BlackWidowPilot Fezian04 Apr 2013 6:14 p.m. PST

Lion,

seen it, like it, but I'm allergic to most resins, so no joy.

If that's a serious allergy, you have my sympathies. If it's a minor one that you could work around with gloves and a respirator until the models are painted and sealed, I think it'd be worth it.

Says the guy with a latex sensitivity.

Richard Gaulding04 Apr 2013 11:47 p.m. PST

Leland,

It's a plastic-resin blend, closer to high-impact polystyrene. You might want to get some and see what you think.

GhostofRebecaBlack05 Apr 2013 1:33 a.m. PST

I'll probably get some… after I get the recast PZGr sprues.

Not applicable to the Antenociti Komodo tho. The production model is all metal. Or at least it was when I got mine. Haven't checked what their site says as of late.

Caesar05 Apr 2013 7:27 a.m. PST

The site says it it entirely metal.

Tango01 Supporting Member of TMP05 Apr 2013 11:23 a.m. PST

The figure is metal, not resin.

Metal? So it weighs a ton and costs a bob. <sigh> Those I've already got in some abundance… very nice models, but not in the medium I'm currently after… I'll just have to keep holding out for either Defiance to deliver on these suits, and/or WF to (finally) deliver on my old Liberty & Union League proposal…(yes, hope springs eternal!evil grin)

looks good. I've been waiting for someone to make egg battlesuits. I hope they are suitably large enough in the body of the suit as the pilots arms dont look like they could fit in the outside.

It is certainly much more expensive than these will be when/if they get released. The best deal IIRC is £56.00 GBP for 4, including p&p worldwide. But it's a crisp metal casting, a very good design (with some optional bitz) and it's available ATM.

Now mind you, I have no doubt whatsoever about much of anything Antenoceti's Workshop offers in terms of quality or their stellar service. That is not my issue here…

ATM, I have a good number of hefty metal and even some rather older but still nice hard plastic powered armour troops in 28mm all painted up, based, and ready that have been occupying my collection since the 1980s. 56 quid? Lessee, that's about $100 USD give or take? Now, the mischief I can get into with $100 USD in say 15mm running riot through the Khurasan Miniatures web store doesn't even bear contemplating, to say nothing of $100 USD worth of these nifty Defiance Games suits or Wargames Factory L&UL power suit figures when they become available…

I am many things, "tnjrp," but penny wise pound foolish ain't one of 'em. In addition to being implacably evil, I *am* patient, and will wait a very long time for my chosen prey… Mwahahaahaaaa!!!evil grin

looks a nice model, but not going to hold my breath waiting for good QC finished products being available – track record and all that :-(

Lion in the Stars11 Apr 2013 6:27 a.m. PST

@Leland: 56gbp is about $85 USD, but your point still stands. I'm just not expecting the Defiance suits anytime soon. They're already a year late.
