Would anyone have photos comparing some of the 40mm AWI makes? I'm particularly interested in Front Rank, Trident Design and Sash and Sabre. Thanks, The Colonel |

I don't have photos, but I can tell you for past experience that the Trident Designs figures are about half a head taller than Sash ans Saber, and all together beefier figures. I personally prefer them over the S&S models. |

I have all three in my collection. Front Rank and Trident match so closely that you can put them in the same unit. Sash & Saber are a bit smaller but in their own units they are fine. Of course I do handle the Trident figures so I would point you to them if for nothing else the amazing variety of figures available. There are many more figures to come in this range including Spanish Troops. But again, they all fit together nicely. |

I have several units of mixed Sash and Saber and Trident
the Trident are a little "beefier" but given the wide range of body types inherent in any group of men they fit together well
can't speak to Front Rank, too damn expensive. I've provided a link to a set of pictures from my recent 40mm AWI game at Cold Wars
these are a mix of S&S and Trident. link db |

Following on a recent discussion about WWII figure makers, sure, people are different sizes, but not weapons. |

Here is a link to picture of my militia units that contains S&S, Trident, Front Rank and a few Prince August Homecast. link |

nnascati The discussion of weapons is a completely different issue
I can show you several WWII 28mm figures where the bodies are similar but the weapons are significantly different in size and proportion
as far as Sash and Saber and Trident weapons they are compatible. db |

MacDuff, Might just be me, but your link appears not to work
.. (A case of "lead off, MacDuff" perhaps?) |
