I hope everyone enjoyed Easter, their Easter eggs and time with their familes and loved ones. But better than Easter eggs for us 6mm wargamers is the news that Timecast will be bringing out a Essling Granary building and a Hof farm. Can't wait and niether can my 6mm Adler French and Austrians. |

What's especially nice is the small lip of the base that gets colored as the ground. Which fits much nicer on a battlefield, imho. I would run a small line of ca-glue round the base after painting and sprinkle some flock over the glue. Nice. But not better than Easter eggs. I would not like to taste the granary even with sparkles and neon colors. And slicing the granary for sandwiches
not happening. |

You never know, this new range might lead to further buildings from various campaigns being produced, and that would be even better news for 6mm wargamers. |

It looks like another manufacturer (Total Battle Miniatures) has brought out a 6mm Granary – see Tango01's post in the Gallery board. We 6mm wargamers are getting spoilt for choice – which is nice. |

You never know, this new range might lead to further buildings from various campaigns being produced, and that would be even better news for 6mm wargamers. Let's hope so. I was wondering which other buildings have that 'iconic' status for Napoleonics that the granary, La Haye Sainte and Hougomont have that might end up on a manufacturer's list? The Chateau of Brienne, perhaps? Regards |

Both the Granary and farm are available now from Timecast. Great timing because it is my birthday tommorrow and my wife has just bought them for me, lucky me. Can't wait to see them. |

Nice one – happy birthday! |

Whirlwind Well, in wargaming terms it has turned out quite a happy one. Not only has my wife ordered the 6mm Timecast 1809 buildings, but my daughter gave me the cash to order a much wanted wargaming book and my sons have bought me some much needed brushes and paints! Certainly makes a change from socks and slippers! |

The Timecast Essling Granary and Austrian farm buildings arrived today. Really impressive delivery service! They look great and can't wait to find time to paint them up. Just need to get my 'yet to paint' list down. |

Are you going to stick a picture here when you are done? An action shot with your Adler guys around it perhaps? Regards |

I was wondering which other buildings have that 'iconic' status for Napoleonics that the granary, La Haye Sainte and Hougomont have that might end up on a manufacturer's list? The windmill at Valmy? The Castle at Castiglione(Solferino)? The church & cemetery at Eylau (or Napoleon's watchtower)? The Great redoubt at Borodino? All these would be great! But can I be selfish and ask for them in 1/72 scale instead!? |
Gazzola | 05 Apr 2013 3:11 p.m. PST |
TelesticWarrior No problem with 1/72 or any other scale, as long as they are produced first in 6mm! I like the sound of all those you mentioned and would also be interested in a Peninsular tower/outpost set. However, for Castiglione, I would love Adler to bring out some Austrians in casquets, then we'd be rockin'. |

Whirlwind After trying to be a fast painter and messing up, I am now a very slow painter and I don't always have the time I would like to get stuck in, which is why my 'yet to paint list' is so long. And it does not help when I go and order new buildings and miniatures. But yes, I'm hoping to get some photos taken of a game or just a display of my Adler armies. But I have no idea of when we will get around to actually doing it. |
