Timecast have also produced a 6mm Essling Granary and are bringing out a farm – see Better than Easter Eggs thread.

Great news for 6mm wargamers – spoilt for choice!

Was having a bit of problem with previous post, now deleted. But the Timecast 6mm Essling Granary and Austrian farm are avaialble now.

It is my birthday tomorrow and my wife has just ordered them for me, Can't wait to see them, although my 'yet to paint' list is getting bigger and bigger. But I guess that is a problem we wargamers are used to.

I certainly will. Plus my daughter gave me the cash to order a long wanted wargaming book and my sons have bought me some much needed paints and brushes.

I'm just waiting for my latest Adler order to arrive (Reserve/Militia Prussians) but once the Essling Granary arrives I can see myself wanting more Austrians! I can't wait but the problem is that I don't think I will ever catch up with my painting and basing. But I'll give it a good go.

Well, I was hoping for a car (a real one) but I'm happy enough. Just dreading all the painting I've got to do.

Wow! You would not believe it but the Timecast Essling Granary and Austrian farm buildings arrived today. Now that is a fast delivery service!

They look great and I can't wait to find the time to paint them, although I am starting to wonder if I can 'persuade' others to do some of the painting to get the 'yet to paint' list down!

I notice the Granary roof has been given a red/terracotta colour, but everything I've found, including photos of the restored Granary suggests it was slate coloured?

I made a separate post on the topic to see if anyone had any info but either no one knows or they don't particularly want to share their knowledge with me.

Have you any ideas or come across any images that indicate either way?

Quick line while I have some time to spare. I checked out the Aspern Essling battlefield/Museum website and they show an old photo of the building with a red/terracotta roof?

But the red roof tiles may have replaced and they may not have been the same colour as those used in 1809. I have some people looking into it for me, which might answer the question. But the red looks good so I'm hoping it is red/terracotta.
