I'm finding conflicting sources. Some say the Nagara light cruiser was built with 3" guns (In addition to its 5.5" guns). Others say it didn't have 3" guns.

Was the Nagara built with 3" guns?

Did it still have them in 1942?

Where are the guns located? I've not been able to identify their location on the drawings I've found online.

Thanks.

It was built with them, but they were ditched in the '30s – I'm not 100% sure, but I suspect the twin 25mm mounts either side of the first funnel were a straight swap for the old 3 inchers. AFAIK those two twin 25s, plus a few machine guns, were the entire AA armament in '42.

Bingo….

They were in the spots subsequently taken by the twin 25s.
