I've been making dust clouds for use in my Flames of War 6mm North Africa project and the first batch can be seen here.

I have also included in the post my first draft of a house-rule for Dust Clouds in the desert. I didn't feel the existing rule truly reflected the combined impact of dust, heat haze and sun glare on visibility and accuracy of fire.

Some of the dust clouds look a bit big to me, but this was just my first 'proof of concept' batch. The next lot (60+!) will be a little smaller. Same base size but not as tall.

Oh I don't know, armoured vehicles kick up a hell of alot of dust….

if anything they look smaller then the ones I remember from Iraq….But if you don't want them Ill take em great job on these perfect in my book…Mikey

I think they are the perfect size if you are going to use them as part of the game they should be that size or larger even.

They would be a good device for use as hidden movement blinds too. Put down the dust cloud but no vehicle dummy markers can be put down to dust devils, camels having a dust bath or what ever.

Great stuff – I've always had a hankering to make something like this for my thundering ancient cavalry hordes…

I remember once in Canada, a few years ago now, we were leagred up, having some scoff etc, and a chally 2 went past, the amount of dust it kicked up pretty much blotted out the sun and had us scurrying to cover our brews…and find our goggles…in that order.

They look great, as do the tanks and their paint jobs. Well done.

Man's got to have his priorities straight!

Those look good to me, I might even be tempted to make them bigger. I've seen single-vehicle dust clouds big enough to overtop trees by 3x or more in the forest.

Very nice!Your dust clouds certainly look better the BF 15mm ones.

Your vehicles look great too so I went to your Blog to see what else you had hoping to see some infantry and guns in 6mm for FoW, but I could not get the page to load on my browser properly. :(
