That would mean the Italian Air Force was formed in 1923. I seem to remember Italian aircraft in the war with the Ottomans and in WWI. Did the Navy and Army each have their own air units prior to 1923? Grelber |

@Mserafin, in Italy there are several drones manufacturers and Carabinieri surveil all, not only the beaches. The coasts are surveilled by Coast Guard
 @Grelber, yes the Italian Air Force was established 28-3-1923 and before both Italian army and Italian navy had their air services. True. The Italian army air service fought against the Ottomans in 1911. The first military use in the History of an aircraft was there. 23 October 1911, a Blèriot with cpt Carlo Maria Piazza as pilot  Marzio. |
