A basic jeep from Brigade Models – link

Springbok Jeep

No visible armament.

I gave it High Mobility Wheeled because it's a jeep, and Armor 1 because it's in military service. I was surprised to find it could fit an infantry stand!

Equipment Item VSP : BVP Spaces Cost

Vehicle, class 1 5 : 0 5 5
Armor class 1 5 : 6 5 6
Chemical Fuelled Engine 5 : 6 5 7
Hi-mobility wheeled 5 : 6 5 9
1 APSW 5 : 6 5 9
Space for 1 unit of
normal infantry 5 : 6 1 9

If you want to use this as a command vehicle – there isn't room for a command/communications center, but you could pair it up with a "staff" vehicle (such as the Hippo Truck with Office Body).

I rationalized away the problem of the free APSW versus a model with no visible weapon by deciding that the APSW is carried by the passenger, who could pop a roof hatch and fire it off the roof using the bipod, like with an M240B.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Sounds good to me! grin

Officially (p.11), the "free" APSW is assumed to be an external mounted machinegun or equivalent.

Fortunately, we have the pateneted "Science-Fiction Writer's Get-Out-of-Logic-Free" card. I play that one a lot.

I guess I could see a militia force that had jeeps as its primary infantry transport…

Maybe border patrol?
