I'm looking to run a survival horror game based on 'Friday the 13th','cabin in the woods' slasher films.
Can you suggest ideas for plots for the victims to do other than run around and get killed. That will be the plot for the monsters.Ta Paul.

How about getting say four seperate parts from the area to make a Mcgyver type escape vehicle.
Perhaps one item needs two people to carry it.

Get the board game "Betrayal on the House of Haunted Hill". Great ideas in there. Its not one scenario, but 50.

How about a scavenger hunt type idea where random locations have random items that can be used to make weapons, light, etc. Feet Up Now had a good idea about assembling an escape vehicle. Or how about getting things to repair a boat and place the "death camp" on an island. Perhaps the slasher is animated by some form of magic and the unhappy campers need to find his lair and destroy the magic (crystal, book, donut) that animates him.

What about finding the pages of the Necronomicon to perform some dark ritual (-> Evil Dead 1 & 2), or an ancient indian cemetary (-> Pet Sematary).

See also the board game "Zombies!!! 4: The End":

which has a similar premise… and zombie dogs ;)

Have various chase scenes, and options to hide/escape, if they are smart and use their wits and feet (die roll to pass some skill checks, if they come up with a decent plan; less favorable chance if their plans are weak).

However, while they may think they are escaping, they may perhaps be getting in deeper and deeper danger, but they just don't know that yet.

Some encounters that look like a rescue/good option for escape, may actually place them back in the hands of their original pursuers, or worse.

To add some real fun, perhaps even one of the players trying to "escape" is secretly in on the plot, and a plant, to give away their positions, and/or to enjoy the fun of being a "double agent", and who is actually running the show.

Bonus victory points for doing the stupid stuff that you're not supposed to do in a horror movie?

"Bonus victory points for doing the stupid stuff that you're not supposed to do in a horror movie?"

Like getting naked and getting it on automatically increases the chance of a suprise attack on the amorous couple? One of our rules for cheesy horror flicks is "First you BLEEP, then you die."
